Hi, I’m Christina.

Mother, thinker, and over-planner in recovery.

For most of my life, I followed the script - the one that said plan diligently, work hard, and achieve. I built a career of which I am very proud. And then life happened. I got engaged, pregnant, single, engaged (again), married, left said career, and poured myself into raising two incredible kids.

In early 2025, I started 40(unscripted) as a space to reflect on midlife, reinvention, and what it means to live beyond the plan. Just weeks later, my husband passed away unexpectedly. The ground beneath me shifted in ways I’m still trying to make sense of. Grief cracked me open, but in the midst of pain, I’ve found moments of grace, clarity, and connection I never expected.

This blog has since evolved into something deeper: a place to share raw, honest reflections about living through (and beyond) the unimaginable. Here, I write about identity, parenthood, love, loss, mental health, ambition, wellness, and the beauty (and terror) of letting go.

40(unscripted) is part personal exploration, part rebellion against the pressure to have it all figured out. It’s also a love letter to anyone navigating a life that looks nothing like they planned. If you’re moving through grief, craving more presence, or just wondering if everyone else is winging it too, you’re in the right place.

I don’t have all the answers. But I have stories. And I’m giving myself the space to tell them with the hope they bring even a little peace, comfort, or solidarity to someone else walking their own unscripted path.

Let’s see where this goes.

Welcome to 40(unscripted).
